CranioSacral
What
is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral therapy is a highly effective, non-invasive
form of bodywork. The body's CranioSacral system consists of the bones of
the skull, spine and sacrum and the membranes and fluids which protect and
nourish the brain and nervous system. If any one part of the system is stuck or out of balance,
the health and functioning of the entire body can be effected.
How
can CranioSacral Therapy help me?
CranioSacral therapy is very beneficial to trauma
victims. Car accidents are all too common and often result in extreme pain
and stiffness. This is often relieved by just a few sessions.
Case studies have shown that children with learning
disorders can often improve their skills and results in the classroom.
This has proven especially true with dyslexic children.
What
happens during a CranioSacral Therapy session?
During the session you will remain fully clothed and will lay on
a massage table. A treatment lasts
about an hour. Using very gentle touch, the therapist balances the
CranioSacral system, freeing restricted areas, relieving tightness and stress,
helping to improve the body's internal environment and ability to heal itself.
